About us
We are a research group specialized in applied nanoscience and photonics. Our focus is on interdisciplinary research and the training of undergraduate and postgraduate students. We stand out for our commitment to innovation and technological advancement, working on projects that address challenges in areas such as medicine, bio- and nano-technology, electronics and energy. We promote collaboration and scientific excellence, with the aim of contributing to the development of the country and improving the quality of life of society.
in Materials Science studies the electrical and thermal transport of materials. Most of the work is inspired by the sustainable engineering applications of Thermoelectrics. The materials research focuses on fundamental science related to Thermoelectrics with emphasis in Solid State Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science but we also develop expertise in Thermodynamics, high temperature measurement methods and materials processing.
Mission
As part of the National University of Colombia, Faculty of Sciences, Bogotá, the Laboratory of Nanoscience and Applied Photonics has as its fundamental mission, the integral training of undergraduate and postgraduate students at the highest academic and research level.
